Ancient history - Tresmec

Around the 1990 I did some work for a company called Tresmec (group Acquatechnik) via an intermediary.
I did use the ST6 as microcontroller for a tool and a PC to build up a test machine for such tool, interfacing with a custom interface.

Specifically for this company I did develop a tool used by plumbers to join PVC pipes using the heat.
This tool was called "Polifusore".
An ST6 was controlling a heat head where the pipe was placed in.
Then it was heating the head at a specific temperature for the necessary time to have the PVC reaction.
The firmware was able to obtain fast the correct temperature, maintaining it as long as needed with a tolerance of 0.10 Degrees C.

Then I did develop a test program to verify/test the Polifusori using a PC and a board connected via the parallel port, with the Borland C++ compiler.

The testing place for the Polifusori. On the Pc is running the test program (C++ TurboVision Borland)

Interface card able to connect to the Pc up to 16 Polifusori.Used the Parallel port and a serial port on the Pc
